Located just east of the Malvern Hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Marlbank Farmhouse has a long history of growing apples and pears, producing renowned cider and perry well into the 20th century.

Today, Marlbank Vineyard continues the tradition by growing Pinot Noir grapes in a one-acre field on the property. The marl soils have been washed down from the Malvern Hills for centuries, giving us a terroir similar to some of the best vineyards in Burgundy, itself famous for growing Pinot Noir grapes.

Welcome to Marlbank Vineyard

The vineyard's owner, Jeremy, is committed to growing the very best grapes that the weather gods allow. He relishes the challenge to manage a vineyard with minimal environmental impact, caring for the soil in, and around the vines. The vineyard is surrounded by grasses, native tree species and wildflowers to host beneficial insects and support biodiversity.

From pruning to harvest, each vine is cared for by hand before the grapes are given to the talented team at the Three Choirs Winery to transform them into a delicious Blanc de Noirs sparkling white wine. Our first vintage is set to be released in December 2025.

Harvest time at Marlbank Vineyard: picking grapes and having fun

Harvest at Marlbank is more than just picking grapes; this year, twenty members of Marlbank's friends and family offered their time and energy to be part of the gang that will pick our Pinot Noirs which will become our limited-edition Blanc de Noirs, ready to taste in 2026.

One of the challenges in the final weeks is the threat of fruit fly, the Spotted Wing Drosophila. These tricky insects puncture the grapes to lay their eggs, and as the larvae hatch, they consume the grapes from the inside out.

Our mission

Marlbank Vineyard’s mission is to cultivate outstanding Pinot Noir grapes through thoughtful vineyard management. We are committed to fostering a sense of community where wine enthusiasts can connect with each other, sharing in the pleasure of great wine and deepening their understanding of viticulture.
