Growing Pinot Noir grapes in the terroir of the Malvern Hills
Our vision is to grow the best possible Pinot Noir grapes in the terroir of the Malvern Hills and to work closely with the Three Choirs winery to turn the grapes into excellent wines.
Meet Marlbank’s Steward
Jeremy, the man behind Marlbank Vineyard, has 35 years of experience in agriculture and viticulture, including 17 years in France and French vineyards. He was also an international rugby player in the late 1980s and he applies the same thoughtful and practical approach to the vineyard. Rather than tackling French rugby players, his challenges now are to overcome diseases and frost. He loves finding the latest innovation which might enhance the quality of his grapes or improve the environmental state of his vineyard.
He approaches his role with a sense of stewardship and care, bringing a wealth of knowledge and commitment to the vineyard from France. He is a member of the Académie d’Agriculture de France and was appointed a Chevalier du Tastevin at the prestigious Clos du Vougeot.
He was the 1,181st recipient of an International Cap from Scottish Rugby, his legacy is celebrated each year with the release of 1,181 bottles of Marlbank's Blanc de Noirs.
Our vision
Our vision is to grow great Pinot Noir grapes in the terroir of the Malvern Hills, and to work closely with the Three Choirs winery to turn the grapes into excellent wines.
We would love it to become a meeting place for people keen to understand more about vineyards and taste wines whilst supporting a thriving, biodiverse vineyard with strong connections to the local community.
